Carrie Carman, DVM - Our Doctors - Animal Care Hospital - Hendersonville, NC

Carrie Carman, DVM

A graduate of the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Carman began practicing as an associate veterinarian in Asheville, NC, in 1985.  She found her niche in companion animal and equine medicine, and soon established Animal Care Clinic of Hendersonville, an institution for compassionate and capable general medicine and surgery in 1988.

An animal lover since early childhood, Dr. Carman enjoyed a rural upbringing in the Texas hill country. Dogs, cats, and horses have always been near and dear to her heart. After a family move to Knoxville, Tennessee, it was a natural progression of her passion for animals to lead to a degree in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Carman is a member in good standing of the AVMA, NCVMA, and has been certified in Chinese Veterinary Acupuncture.  Her practice allows the marriage of tradition and technology to provide ultimate health care for pets and horses.

At home, Dr. Carman enjoys anything outdoors, her dogs, one sassy cat, and any opportunity to smell a horse.

John Eustis, DVM

John Eustis, DVM

John Eustis and his dog, Ace, are recent transplants to WNC from Vermont. John is originally from New York but his veterinary career has taken him all over the country as well as Canada but when he was looking for a place to settle down and be semi-retired, WNC was the place.

John's favorite parts of veterinary practice are surgery and just interacting with the clients and their animals.

In his free time, he is an avid mountain biker and volunteers with several organizations to clear and maintain trails in both Pisgah and Dupont.
